Editorial policy
Coastal Current Review aims to explain coastal geography accurately, clearly and independently. We make the limits of a general explanation visible and correct material errors when they come to our attention.
Accuracy and clarity
Articles are checked for clear definitions, sound reasoning and consistency within the text. We take care to distinguish established concepts from interpretation, explain uncertainty where it matters and avoid claims that an article cannot support. A general explanation is not a substitute for current, place-specific information.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Partner contributions and paid placements are identified clearly as such, so readers can tell when material is promotional rather than independent editorial content. A partnership does not guarantee editorial endorsement.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, useful correction requests and update articles when a factual mistake is confirmed; where appropriate, we explain the correction in the article.
Illustrations and AI
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are used to support understanding, not as evidence of a real place or event; captions or accompanying wording identify them where appropriate.
